How to make the motor shaft rotation?
The method of rotating the motor shaft is to generate a magnetic field by applying an electric current, which in turn generates an interaction force with a permanent magnet or an electromagnet in the motor, thereby rotating the motor shaft.
Before explaining in detail, we need to understand the basic working principle of the motor. A motor is a device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. The most common of these are AC motors and DC motors. Regardless of the type of motor, their core operating principle is based on the interaction of electromagnetic induction and magnetic fields.
Taking a DC motor as an example, there are usually one or more permanent magnets inside the DC motor, which generate a fixed magnetic field. One or more electromagnets (also called armatures) are mounted on the motor shaft. When current passes through the armature, it generates a magnetic field in the opposite direction to the magnetic field of the permanent magnet. According to the basic principles of electromagnetism, two opposing magnetic fields will repel each other, creating a force that will turn the armature (that is, the motor shaft). By constantly changing the direction of the current on the armature, the motor shaft can be continuously rotated.
For AC motors, although their working principle is slightly different from that of DC motors, the basic idea is still to use the magnetic field generated by the current to interact with the magnetic field inside the motor to drive the motor shaft to rotate. AC motors usually use electromagnets instead of permanent magnets to generate a rotating magnetic field by constantly changing the direction and size of the current, thereby driving the motor shaft to rotate.
In practical applications, the motor also needs to provide current and control the rotation of the motor through some external devices such as power supplies, switches, controllers, etc. At the same time, in order to ensure the normal operation of the motor and extend its service life, it is necessary to carry out proper maintenance and maintenance of the motor.
In short, the method of rotating the motor shaft is to generate a magnetic field by applying an electric current, and interact with the magnetic field inside the motor, thereby generating a force that rotates the motor shaft. This process involves the basic principles of electromagnetism and the structural characteristics of the motor. By understanding these principles and characteristics, we can better control and apply the motor.
